# PerfectPawgraphy Contest Terms and Conditions. (MY)

1. Rules & Eligibility

1.1. The “#PerfectPawgraphy” Contest (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”) is organized by Royal Canin Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. [PC1][FA2][PC3](hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”), which is solely responsible for the execution and management of the Contest.

1.2 This Contest will be governed by these terms and conditions and details of the Contest (collectively referred to as the “Terms & Conditions”). Every participant agrees that these Terms & Conditions have been read and understood and by their participation in the Contest, agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1.3. Subject to Clause 1.4, the Contest is open to all citizens and residents of Malaysia who are dog or cat owners and are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.

1.4. The Contest is not open to the employees of the Organizer, distributor, advertising or sales promotion agencies and their immediate family members. “Immediate family members” include any of these: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, children or step children (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, brother, sister, step-sibling and first cousins.

1.5. All personal details submitted must be accurate and complete and are subject to proof at the request of the Organizer. The Organizer reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of any entry and to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions or that interferes with the entry process. The Organizer collects and holds personal details provided by participants in order to conduct the Contest. The Organizer may disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and offer suppliers. The Organizer is required by law to provide information to law enforcement agencies and government regulatory authorities. The personal details of participants will be held in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy, which can be read here: https://www.mars.com/privacy-policy-malaysia. Participants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Organizer. All entries will become property of the Organizer.

2. Contest Period

2.1. The Contest will run for 45 days starting at 00.01AM, 1st November and ending at 11.59 PM, 15th December 2021 (“Contest Period”).

2.2. Participants are allowed to join the Contest at any time during the Contest Period.

2.3. Any Entries submitted outside of the Contest Period will not be entertained.

3. Contest Mechanics

3.1 How to enter:

- Each participant may submit entries via their own Instagram or Facebook account in the following steps:

Step 1: Take a photo together with your pet dog(s) and/or pet cats(s)

Step 2: Share your story behind the photo in the caption (max 300 words).

Step 3: Upload the photo and caption to your personal Instagram/Facebook account using any device and add the following hashtags: #PerfectPawgraphy, #RoyalCaninMalaysia,#AlphaUniverseMY.

3.2 Photos entered can be taken with any device. There is no limit on the number of photos that you can upload to participate, but each photo must be unique and comply with these Terms and Conditions.

3.3 Photos containing watermarks (including photo credits) may not be entered.

3.4 Participants will be required to set their Instagram and Facebook account to public. Each entry for the Contest will be judged by a panel of judges consisting of the Organizer’s representative(s) [PC4]by 31st December 2021.

3.5 Pets should not be subjected to any costumes, props or other materials when taking the photos for the photo entries, and only pet leashes and collars are permitted as restraints in the photo entries. All photos must reflect the natural behaviour(s) of the pet(s) and nothing that compromises the welfare of the pet(s) will be accepted..

3.6 Photos that are modified with legally acquired image editing software or equivalent programs are accepted. Participant guarantees that photo enhancement was made via use of legally acquired software.

3.7 Multiple entries from a single participant are permitted with different photo and story provided for each entry, but each participant can only win once

4. Winner Selection

4.1. The Organizer will choose as winners from all valid entries the most imaginative and original entries, as follows:

(a) the most imaginative and original entry will win the 1st Grand Prize set forth below.

(b) the 2nd and 3rd most imaginative and original entries will win the 2nd Prize – A and the 2nd Prize – B set forth below, as determined by the Organizer in its sole discretion.

(c) The 4th, 5th and 6th most imaginative and original entries will each win the 3rd prize set forth below.

(d) The next 100 most imaginative and original entries will each win the Special Prize set forth below.

(e) All winners who have liked Royal Canin (MY) and Sony-Alpha Universe-Malaysia Facebook page will entitle for 1 additional Prize.

Winners

4.2. Only entries from individuals will be accepted. Any entry that the Organizer believes has been made (a) via participation in a syndicate and/or (b) via any form of machine-assisted intervention enabling multiple computer-generated entries, will be disqualified. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify multiple entries from the same IP address should it deem these entries to be in violation of these Terms & Conditions.

4.3. Any decision by the Organizer is final. No correspondence will be entertained.

4.4 Participant guarantees that the photo he/she is submitting is original and has not been previously published, and that the participant owns all necessary rights in relation thereto.

4.5 Where there are images or personal information of individuals other than the participant appearing in or associated with any entry, the participant hereby confirms that the individuals have consented and agreed to the participant providing the images and personal information to the Organizer as part of the entry and that Organizer may use the images and personal information for the purpose of this Contest and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

5. Awesome Prizes

5.1. There will be a total of 106 prizes for winners of the Contest, as set forth in 4.1.

5.2 Prizes will be delivered within one (1) month after the winners are announced on 31st December 2021.

5.3 Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash and are subject to availability. The Organizer reserves the right to replace any prizes with items of similar value without prior notice. Winner may not choose the color or model of the prizes.

6. Notification of winners

6.1. Winners will be announced on 31th December 2021.

6.2. Winners will be notified via Facebook message from the Organizer. Winner announcements will also be posted on Royal Canin Malaysia Official Facebook page and Sony Malaysia Official Facebook page.

6.3. Within 7 days of being notified, each winner must provide the Organizer with their full name and contact details[PC8][FA9] within 7 days of being notified. Should a winner fail to provide this information within seven (7) days of being notified, the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify the winner and award the prize to another participant based on the criteria in 4.1 above.

6.4. The Organizer's decision on any matter concerning the Contest is final with respect to any aspect of the Contest. No correspondence or appeals will be entertained.

6.5 Winners agree to be contacted by Organizer or its authorized representatives to participate in public relations events related to the Contest or the Organizer’s products[PC10][FA11][PC12][FA13]. This may include, but not be limited to, quotes given for inclusion in press releases and press conferences, interviews, etc.

6.6 The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify all entries that do not meet the rules and regulations of the Contest. These include entries submitted with invalid or incorrect information.

6.7 Unfair or unethical methods of participation will result in disqualification.

7. Rights of the Organizer

7.1. Subject to applicable laws and regulations, the Organizer may at its absolute discretion modify, annul or rescind these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

7.2. If for any reason, any aspect of the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the Organizer which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, the Organizer reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, or invalidate any affected entries.

7.3. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, illegible, disfigured or late entries automatically or when authenticity of an entry is questionable.

7.4. The Organizer may at its sole discretion, disqualify any entries and prohibit further participation in the Contest by any person whom the Organizer reasonably believes has tampered with the entry process or with the operation of the Contest or who has acted in violation of these Terms and Conditions or in a disruptive manner or for any other reason.

7.5. Any Participant who submits an entry or other material or information which the Organizer reasonably considers is inappropriate for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to obscene, illicit or otherwise inappropriate written and/or photo content will be disqualified from the Contest and will not be eligible to win any prizes.

7.6. The Organizer reserves the right to select an alternative winner (based on the criteria in 4.1) in the event the Organizer has reasonable grounds for believing that a selected winner has contravened any part of these Terms and Conditions.

7.7. Participants agree to be bound by the decisions of the Organizer.

7.8. The Organizer may require participants to validate any one or all of their entries in the Contest or to provide more information to allow the Organizer to verify the participants’ entries, at any time during the Contest prior to being eligible to redeem any prize.

7.9. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Organizer and its agencies to use the relevant winner’s name, entry and/or photograph for purposes of publicity, advertising and/or trade without further compensation, approval or notice.

7.10. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute a release and discharge of the Organizer by each winner from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and/or damages which the winner may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: (i) the Contest, (ii) personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the winner (and/or their companions and/or pets) as a result of the use and/or enjoyment of the prize, and/or (iii) any tax liabilities in relation to the Contest, prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same.

7.11. The Organizer’s decision on any matter concerning the Contest is final with respect to any aspect of the Contest, including the determination of the winners. No correspondence or appeals will be entertained.

7.12. The Organizer is not responsible or liable for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet and/or websites.

By participating in this contest, each participant agrees to be bound to these rules and regulations.
